On June 4, 2011 University Settlement celebrated its 125th Anniversary by throwing a block party on Eldridge Street. Staff and participants from the settlement and affiliate programs enjoyed the festive atmosphere with members of the Lower East Side community. The party began with presentations by NYC Council Members Margaret Chin and Rosie Mendez, along with US Congresswoman Nydia Velazquez, and continued with performances, food and fun games for the whole family!
