We are currently seeking qualified candidates for the following positions:
Position:
Fee for Service Clinical Social Worker (LCSW)
Overview
University Settlement provides a comprehensive network of services to over 10,000 people of all ages living in the Lower East Side. Its broad network of activities includes adult literacy classes, mental health counseling and intensive case management; group and family day care; support services to the formerly homeless; after-school and summer camp for children and teens; a senior center and a credit union.
Responsibilities:
- Carry a minimum caseload of eight clients.
- Provide short or long-term psychotherapy services to an ethnically and culturally diverse population, ranging in age from 5 years through late adulthood within the modalities of individual, group, and family therapy including behavior modification, cognitive behavioral, in-sight oriented and supportive therapy.
- Provide diagnostic evaluations and assessments appropriate for the discipline and in accordance with OMH regulations, University Settlement Clinic Policies, and professional standards.
- Maintain clinical records in accordance with OMH/DOH&MH standards, complete all necessary documentation required by OMH and University Settlement Clinic Policies.
- Obtain and monitor managed care authorizations.
- Engage in staff meetings, case conferences, training seminars and individual supervisory meetings.
- Complete other duties deemed necessary by the Clinical Director pertaining to provision of effective services to patients and/or the community.
Qualifications:
- MSW required
- LCSW licensure required
- Minimum of three years of clinical experience in a mental health setting preferred
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Capacity to function as a member of an interdisciplinary team
- Bilingual English/Spanish or English/Chinese strongly preferred
Salary:
Fee paid per kept client, commensurate with clinical experience (post Master's)
